Pulled muscle around lung.. talexys 1 child; Ontario 1147 posts

Has this happened to anyone? I have bronchitis and I don't know exactly what I pulled but its around my right lung and its agonizing, when I cough I have to get into a crunching position on the ground it's so intense. I am basically crippled because of it, if any one has experienced this how long does it take to heal? I know the more I cough the worse it's going to be but thankfully the coughing has died down since my new meds but I get coughing fits and it feels like my lung is going to explode!

I've had torn muscles and ligaments all through out my chest because of bronchitis, when you have to cough hug a pillow against your ribs. Mine took a few weeks to heal, but it was really bad. Also alternate heat and cold on the area.

Yeah iv been crunching and hugging a pillow, its brutal. Ugh! Thanks I will look into getting a heating pad or something, this morning I was useing a wet cloth...is it worse to sleep on the side the pain is on? I have been because its easier to lay on that side but its very painful in the morning.

I thought it was easier to fall asleep on that side, but I would wake in horrible pain regardless of which side I slept on. For a few days I slept on the couch with a soft pillow under the side I bruised.
