So I had 5 teeth extracted Friday Morning. I've gained like 6lbs since then! I haven't eaten any solid food since Thursday, just broth and meal replacements. I'm so frustrated that I'm gaining so much weight, especially since it's not like I'm even eating really tasty food or anything!! I can't have any solid food until at least Friday, at my appointment, but this really sucks to be gaining so much.
So, swelling you think? I'm probably not taking in enough calories, though I'm trying. It's hard when there isn't a lot you can eat. Anyone experience this after teeth extractions? Hoping it will all sort of fall off after I heal, I've just worked so hard to get under 160 and now I'm back up over it again.
Have you been laying down, resting after all that? I had several teeth pulled a year ago and I know it takes some healing, resting time. I'm sure once you're up and moving again you'll shed it right back off.
I lost 30lbs when I had mine done. Look at the meal replacements your drinking because there's a few of them that are for weight gain.
Swelling shouldn't be adding up to 6lbs of weight gain unless you're getting ready to start AF and are bloated.
Quoting BabyJsMama:" Have you been laying down, resting after all that? I had several teeth pulled a year ago and I know it ... [snip!] ... ago and I know it takes some healing, resting time. I'm sure once you're up and moving again you'll shed it right back off. "
I've been taking it pretty easy. My husband was home all weekend to take care of the kids, so todays been my first day I've really been up and about. I've been feeling really good though, I mean, I've barely been in any pain at all since the day after it was done.
You could be retaining water. Your body loves to hold onto water after any kind of surgery.
