1. when do YOU think a toddler becomes a "kid"
2. when did you stop giving your toddler/kid a glass of milk every day?
(my kids, 18 months & 3 years, get a cup(sippy cup) of milk once a day, then they can have some in their cereal, but at this rate we're going through 3+ gallons every 2 weeks.. when i was a kid we were only allowed to have milk in our cereal because we could't afford more than that.. there was 7 of us ftr.. so yeah just curious what the milk situation is in your house?)
my son is almost 5 and has milk every day, multiple times a day
My husband and I are both huge mild drinkers, so is LO. We go through a gallon in about two days.
I think a kid is a kid when theyre potty trained and can communicate emotions and needs..for my oldest that was around 3.5.
I give my kid a cup of milk when he asks, which is usually like once a day.
We go through 3 bags of milk every 2 days and there are only 4 of us, lol. My kids drink at least 2-3 glasses a day.
Eta, my children are 4 & 6 and they've always drank quite a bit.
I think Tanner became a kid about 4. He still drinks about 4 sippy cups a day of chocolate milk.
I cannot imagine ever not giving him a sippy, I don't think I will ever trust him on the floors.
We go through a gallon in 2 or 3 days. All the kids get milk at breakfast and sometimes dinner.
I think a toddler becomes a "kid" at about age 3, when they become a "preschooler."
Quoting Smartass *Preggo!*:" I think Tanner became a kid about 4. He still drinks about 4 sippy cups a day of chocolate milk. I cannot imagine ever not giving him a sippy, I don't think I will ever trust him on the floors."
yeah, the kids have regular cups at meals but they are not carrying around normal cups everrrr hahah maybe when they're in high school
I say they are a toddler after 2.
as far as milk, my son gets as much or as little as he wants. Ill tighten the purse strings on just about anything, but not when it comes to my son nutrition.
I have read 18-24 ounces is more then enough for children under 5
Im 31 and still have milk everyday lol... my 2 and almost 6 year old have at every day. At least one cup in the morning, sometimes two if we have cookies or cereal
3 gallon every 2 weeks is nothing. Kids need milk daily. Or else some other form of calcuim and vit d
Kids turn into kids around age 5 (infant, toddler, preschooler, kid, p*****n, teen, adult)
And Cora gets 3-4 glasses of milk a day. As much or as little as she requests.
My pedi says 3-4 cups of milk for LO is the "right" amount. They need the calcium and other vitamins in the milk. He is 17 months.
Toddler only need 16oz of milk a day. My son usually gets one cup of milk with breakfast and one with breakfast. He hasn't used a sippy cup since he was 18 months or so.
I would say that a kid is no longer a toddler at about 3 years old..at least that's how I felt when DS was 3. He is 4 now. As for the milk situation, we go through at least 1 gallon a week. That's usually with just DS drinking it. He drinks milk everyday, most days more than once. Since being pregnant I've been having milk more often and we go through probably 2 gallons a week if not more. That's with drinking it, cooking with it, eating it with cereal...etc.
Speaking of cereal...I want some now..and I have none :(
idk when they become a kid. mase has a cup a day usually, but not everyday (he drinks almond milkthough). kids dont "need" milk, that is a myth told by the milk companies. milk is actually bad for humans.my lders dont drink it at all, only use it for cereal.
