i live in boston, and there's a LOT of hospitals here. st elizabeth's is the catholic hospital and they are sooooo nice. even in the detox they kiss your ass and treat you like gold. i dont know if that's just them, or a common thing in catholic hospitals? who knows, but from my experience they are super duper extra nice. i actually want to have my next baby at St E's even though its a longer drive

Well, I delivered at a Catholic hospital and I'm not sure why you are upset about BC after delivering since you shouldnt even be thinking about sex anyways.

My experiences were great

bahaha i'm not upset about it I just wanted to get Paragard put in and figured it would just be easier to do it while in was in there rather than having to go back.

that isnt an option in any hospital.

it would just fall out. you cramp for a while after a baby and your cervix takes a while to close up

It isn't an option to have it put in after birth at Amy hospital. You have to wait until your 6 week check up.

I was not allowed to take pictures while she was being born. I couldn't have videotaped it if I had wanted to. I didn't really want pictures of my vagina taken while I was giving birth, but I won't be delivering at this hospital again because I want to videotape my next birth.

From what I understand you cant have paragard put in until you are 6-8 weeks PP

Oh see my oncologist said it was an option since the cervix WAS open... until I told her where I was delivering then she said they wouldn't do it..

but I have herd sorties where it could potentially fall out OR migrate to far up... :?

I forgot about this "issue"....was really disappointed with my oldest because I wanted it taped and they wouldnt allow it. Or pictures. But, by the time I was having my 3rd, I got both video and pics and they didnt even care (same OB and everything lol).

I delivered at a catholic hospital and had an awesome experience. Nothing different except they had crosses in all the rooms and prayer over be intercom a couple times a day. I even got BC prescribed to me at my six week, although not all types were covered (my husband worked at the hospital I delivered and they had weird rule about insurance coverage of BC). It's longer officially a catholic hospital now because they performed an abortion on a woman with a possibly life threatening condition and the Phoenix Bishop yanked their affiliation with the Catholic Church.
