So since I have to put 3 carseats in my car, I was wondering how safe are the backless booster seats? Do any of you ladies use them. They seem like they'll be easy and convenient for me with a new born on the way I want to make sure there is enough room but I want to make sure they're safe, I'd be using them for a 3 (almost 4) and 6 year old.

If your 6 yr old is booster trained, they can use a backless booster.

Your 3 year old can NOT use a booster, of any type. They will need to be in a harnessed seat.

Backless for a almost 4yr old? I don't think that sounds very safe.

Crap, my 5yr old is still in a 5pnt..

I just looked this up. Most states now recommend that your child be at least 4 years old and 40 lbs before using a booster with even a back.

So I would say that's a no go.

Your 6 year old yes but your 3 year old almost 4 year old needs to be in a harness until 4 AND 40

6 year old would be fine but not your almost 4 year old. I just got my almost 5 year old a Harmony folding travel booster but it has a back to it. It goes from 30-110 lbs and is pretty narrow.

Are you needing a narrow infant seat? The Chicco Keyfit is pretty narrow, so is the Combi Shuttle.

Thanks! I will look that up. The two carseats I have take up most of the back seat and I really can't afford a bigger car so I have to find something that works.
