I'm only planning on her sleeping in the bassinet part for a few weeks.. maybe 2 months max. I want to get her into her crib ASAP but I am sure I'll be too paranoid to have her sleep in there from day 1 lol

I kept mine in the pack n play for 4 months simply becuase it was easier to just reach over and pick him up to nurse, rather than having to get up and get out of my warm bed and walk to the other room and so on....sheer laziness. 8) By 4 months he was sleeping better and it made sense to make the moove

We have the my little sweetie rock and play, what a life saver!!!!! I haven't used her bassinet, playard or swing! I just swaddled her and put her in there, I think the slight incline helps with whatever gas she has at night, she's also EBF so I can put it right next to my bed and doesn't take up space. Then throughout the day I can move it wherever. She uses her boppy and bouncer when she's awake though.

it isn't safe to add things to it. it is supposed to be stiff. You can buy quilted or fuzzy fitted sheets for them that will at least make it softer to touch, but the baby won't mind.

We felt terribly guilty letting our baby slep in the pack n play while we were in comfy bed when we traveled. Our son would wake up every hour! So we got the MamaDoo Kids mattress topper and what a difference!! It has the perfect firmness (not too soft). It folds in 3 so VERY convenient and portable. Good luck!

Idk what it is, but my BF's mom had something like a padded mni mattress & my daughter loved it . I just filled in the rest of the area with rolled up blankets & covered everything so it looked like a bed . to this day she still sleeps in the pack n play . She wont sleep in her crib .
