My five year old is starting to read, but he only wants to read about 3 pages at a time before it gets too "boring" for him to keep going. Is there a way to make reading more fun for him? I have a TON of books in all sorts of different categories that are in his reading level, but he just thinks reading is too boring. He's good at it, I just want him to enjoy it...

Do you take turn reading a few pages? Make the characters speak in funny voices? Maybe that will help? :)

I used to LOVE weird voices when reading! Made it fun.

Or use props to support the story.

Puppets..funny voices. Ask what you think will happen, how many ----'s do you see? What color is this? Make it fun..keep it interesting. Find books that have his favorite characters. We do high five/highlights magazines with short stories.
