Quoting Drop Dead Fred:" I believe this is just plain bullshit. I am also the type that I am Christian (or at least relate ... [snip!] ... enough. I highly doubt that God would punish someone who was a good and just person just because they questioned the Bible."

I would just like to say that I was scared shitless of Drop Dead Fred as a child. Nothing creeps me out more than an imaginary friend turning on me.

You believe that God is fine with homosexuality?

Sure. I have no proof otherwise. I believe on a loving God. Plus I won't know on this earth how he feels so I'm no gonna try to understand it. But if give him the benefit of the doubt.

I believe God does not care at all about it. It's a soul's mission to be gay for a higher purpose.

What is that "higher purpose"?... if you had to guess.

My view in this case is homosexuality needs to exist in order for people to understand it and accept it which thankfully is common today. It is a part of lesarning tolerance and acceptence towards people who are different. It is very complex but these are my thoughts on it. Many people have much to learn about it. Especially those who think people choose to be gay.

i just want to say i am Christian & i believe in angels ... it says in the bible we can entertain angels on this earth and not even know it. i really love this because it makes you think twice when someone comes to your door or asks for help that you don't know or have never met. Hospitality.

"Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!" =]

Quoting regina_margot:" then you are not a christian"

Being Christian has nothing to do with believing the bible. The bible is not exactly the most accurate book for historical purposes.

Quoting Kaleighshaleigh:" Strange...I have never met a Christian that didn't believe in Angels. How can they get past them when reading scripture? There are numerous examples given."

I imagine a lot of people don't take the entire bible as literal fact. It's full of fables, half truths, and stretched ones. Perhaps the people not believing think angels just happen to be one of the above.

I just want to add my piece here. I'll start by saying I am a christian... that is I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins (which are many) as the living sacrifice so that I can be saved from hell... which is where people go when they do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. I don't believe that being "a good person" is enough to get you to heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father except by me." To me that means if you don't know Jesus, and accept his death as atonement for your sins, then you are doomed to Hell.

I also believe that we are all sinners. The difference is that "Christians" accept Christ's death as payment for their sins, and strive to have a relationship with Him, in return for his sacrifice. By having a relationship with Him, I believe it is important to try to be pleasing to him... just as you would with anyone else whom you have a relationship with.

God knows that we are not perfect. He made us. He only asks that we accept His son's life as payment for our sins, and when we do sin, we are suppose to confess, and ask for forgiveness (this is part of that relationship).

As far as angels... I do believe in them.

And... I believe the Bible to be the true word of God.

I'm not Christian, but I believe in angels or something akin to them. Maybe spirit guide is a better word. I believe every human has this sprit/angel attached to their soul and they are there to protect and to guide us.

I was driving down the road one night and fell asleep. Something grabbed my shoulders and shook me very hard and I woke up before I had a wreck. I almost did. I could feel the grip and had finger prints on my shoulders for a while after.
I have felt this spirit's presence several times after that. It's always a warm feeling and very safe.

I think where the confusion comes in is if we turn into angels. A lot of people think that "oh, so and so died, they are now an angel" or "so and so is your angel"...when that's not the way it works.
God made humans and angels as two completely different things.

This is just my opinion but I cannot imagine God ever rejecting people of other faiths that don't include Jesus. My personal belief is the son of God is not another person outside ourselves but is the higher self within. Only through the higher self can one get to the father but the hgher self is the very core of our being.

to edit what i said previously: i believe jesus died on the cross for our sins. i have accepted god into my heart, and try to be a good person through HIM. that is why i believe i will go to heaven. I know just being a good person isnt enough lol i also believe most of the Bible is stories of TEACHING and examples of how you should live... i dont take every single story to heart and follow that example to a T, thats pretty much impossible IMO
I guess you could say I try to live by the ten commandments. and I believe that is good enough

That's an intriguing theory. However Jesus Christ, the son of God was a totally separate human, who according to historical facts walked the earth, performed miracles (which he received much criticism for, as some people thought he was in cahoots with the devil),and later in life was crucified, and buried. And according to accounts from those who witnessed his resurrection, He came to life again and ascended to Heaven. Personally I would not be comfortable in believing that even my higher self could be compared with Jesus Christ... much less be one and the same... I am a sinner, and he was with out sin. I am not worthy enough to be compared with Him. I believe you must accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior before you will be allowed to enter Heaven. And I believe that God, the Father will reject those who do not accept Christ.. because He promised in His Word, that he would not return to earth to collect his children until every inhabitant of the earth had heard of his son and been given the chance to accept Him, and accept his death as payment for their sins.
