Quoting {36WEEKS!!}:" I know your mucus plug can regenerate and what not but I'm curious as to how many mothers lost there ... [snip!] ... so we will see .....so how many mothers have been through the losing the plug but not the bloody show and still be in labor"

Hi,
Through out pregnancy its normal to see the mucus plug leak. Some will go into labor without the water breaking or the mucus plug coming out. My first the water just broke. My second I was induced and after feeling like I had to go to the bathroom so bad that pushed really hard and my water broke in the air. You definitly don't want to see any red or blood to come out when you go into labor. If you do that could mean something is wrong.
What you wrote I suggest you get to the hospital right away.
