Just a quick question, how long after having your baby did your period become regular again? My dd is 1 at the end of the month and I seem to be getting my period every second week. I am taking the mini pill if that has any effect, also when would you consider seeing a doctor about it?

mine started at 10 wks, but my midwife said hers started as soon as her lochia dried up. Pill will cause your body to wack out, either stop cycling altogether or cycle more regularly,at this point it would be healthier to let your body recover before taking contraceptives (dispite what the doctor says: they just want to guarantee a space between children, better to do that naturally) so that it can re-establish a healthy cycle - your cycle needs to be a full one to keep your uteris healthy and reduce risk of later issues. It would be hard on your body to get pregnant again right away, but it is hard on your body to take the contraceptives also, maybe a different form of birth control should be implemented (if any) until you feel completely comfortable with your cycles (as in they feel normal).

Thanks, I will go see the doctor and explain what is happening and ask for other options. I also never have any energy and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it.
