If you have flew with a toddler how did it go? Did you buy them a plane ticket and take a carseat on board with you? We are going to Miami and are flying, my son is 13 months right now but he will be 16 months when we go. I plan on buying a plane ticket for him so we can take the carseat with us, I figure he will sleep like he does in the car.
We flew when my son was 11 months. He did great. I put a blanket over him and rocked him until he fell asleep. He slept the whole time.
He slept pretty much the whole time.
Take a couple new books/toys, favorite snacks (unopened), and be prepared to sing. Waiting for take off was hell, especially on a little plane with no space.
He set on my lap. I don't know how I would of put his car seat on there or having to drag it all over the airport. If you want to take his car seat, I would recommend getting a car seat trolley off of amazon.
Also, a back pack instead of purse/diaper bag will make traveling easier. Now LO is mobile, we purchased a harness for when I have to fumble with the stroller and get my things together from TSA. Make sure everyone is wearing slip on shoes to save time and hassle.
I am sure he will be fine. Miami is a pretty short flight if you don't have a lay over. Just bring some stuff to distract him
If u have a disposable income I would totally say the extra seat it worth it. At 2 months... So easy. 12 months...ugh. Miserable for both of us. Didn't help he had a cold and teething

We got him a seat but tickets to Miami from Ohio don't cost that much lol. We have four round trip tickets for 950.00 on delta which was kinda cheap I thought.
