Yes I agree w. The age thing. Thats why in some states like va . You should go by the violence of the offense.

Not until urinating in public and statutory rape charges are no longer grounds for being considered a sex offender.

absolutely. They shouldn't have any privacy for what they've done. It will help people in picking a place to live in.

Not sure if this will work properly but, here is a map of all the sex offenders that live closest to me.

Click on the, "Map Legend" drop down right above the map to see what color represents which offense.

(Sorry, bg isn't allowing me to make it a clickable link)

ETA: Nevermind, when I tried to go to the link after posting, it said, "Address not found"

You wouldnt want to know that the "sweet old man"next door to you is a child molester? Or the guy across the st from.you and your teenage daughter is a rapist?

Absolutely. I use family watchdog and it lists their offense. There are a couple nearby such as
CONTINUOUS SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILD
LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A CHILD UNDER 14 YEARS OF AGE
LEWD OR LASCIVIOUS ACTS WITH A DEPENDANT PERSON BY A CARETAKER

Quoting ::Nikki:::" Not until urinating in public and statutory rape charges are no longer grounds for being considered a sex offender."

You can see what their offense is so lewd act in public versus rape with a foreign object.

Not sure. I mean will it say what they actually did? Cause I know someone who was charged for sleeping with a girl he picked up.at a bar 19+ to get in and she was 16 sure she was a minor with fake id in a bar. Its stupid.

But we don't have registered sex offenders with a public list here its all confidential.

I feel like they have lost the privilege of privacy if they sexually assault someone. I think it should be listed.

Ya my mom saw a sex offender lived on my st and I would have been all freaked out but the website said he was a teenager caught looking in a window so I felt a little better after that lol its definitely good to know the specific crime

Ya I'm nit sure how it works lol like I said here sex offenders have 100% confidential lists. You can't Google or look up who is on it or where they live. If the case makes the paper then ya we know but for all others its not a matter of the public to know. Not even an employer unless they do criminal checks.

For an example of our lists..

Go to www.familywatchdog.us and type in 86442 under zip code, and then Arizona on the "State" drop down. It will bring you to a map. The colorful spots on that map are markers of where the registered offenders live. Each color means a different offense. Click "Map Legend" for an explanation of each color.
