So symphis pubic dysfunction is what it stands for and I'm only 22 weeks, 4th pregnancy and in a lot of pain! Going to the OB Friday so I'll let my dr know but is this dangerous at all? I remember having this with my first towards the end but not to this extent at all... it hurts bad to raise one leg like when getting dressed and it burns when I turn in bed... to the point of waking me. It hurts when walking and other times as well. Anyone experience this that bad? I'm in pain and can't imagine the pain in my third tri!

It probably feels worse because this is a second pregnancy. I know that I lucked out and my pain wasn't until the 3rd trimester again, but yeah, it sucks. It's not really dangerous, the doctors won't do anything for it. It's weird this time around for me because if I clench my legs together (like an imaginary thigh master thing) it causes my back to pop lol

had it with my daughter and it hurt like hell. I could nit get out or in bed without help or sit or walk sometimes without help towards the end of my pregnancy. I do not miss that.

I'm just starting down this trail in the last couple of weeks. Soooo unpleasant, but not dangerous for baby as far as I can find.

I have this, second pregnancy as well and I'm 23 weeks.
My doctor did tell me some exercises that I could do.
But it doesn't help a ton.

Wish it would go away though...

I had it towards the end of my pregnancy with DD. My birthing coach I saw gave me a few stretches to do to help ease the pain, and it did, but not a lot.

**eta**
At night I used to use a body band around my knees to keep my legs together in bed. It kept my joints aligned so less pain with moving. It still hurt like a bitch but it wasn't as bad because my legs couldn't separate.

Ok thanks everyone, its my 4th pregnancy though and prob the main reason for the extent of pain (my first two sons were still born at 39 weeks) so I've carried three term babies before this little girl. She also sits low and literally keeps me peeing all day! Hope this pain doesn't get too much worse!

my daughter was also very low. her head was like in my pelvis lol. He said because her head put so much pressure on my bladder and pelvis I would be in pain til I delivered even with the exercises he gave me. I am so sorry and feel your pain. As for your losses I am sorry to hear that momma. Hope you the best with your delivery and the rest of your pregnancy

I read the ligament can actually rupture and they put you on bed rest... I just don't want to go into pre term labor or anything. Mine feels borderline from ruputuring even though I'm sure its prob not, I just feel like my pain is more than normal.. hope I'm just over exaggerating. It hurts worse and is constant when I lay down, and in any position :/

I think the rupturing ligament is worst case scenario. I was seeing a high risk specialist with my last pregnancy as well as this one so i got frequent u/s which verified everything was fine. Have you spoke to your OB about seeing a specialist?

I had this pain so bad with my third (and last) pregnancy. From 20 weeks on I couldn't stand, sit or lay down in any way that would relieve any amount of pain. It was non-stop until a few days after delivery. To this day I still have a patch about 5 inches long, 3 inches wide on my left thigh that never regained feeling. It is completely numb even 22 months later. I dread another possible pregnancy! lol!

Ouch! Yea mine gets pretty intense especially when I sleep.... my OB told me to wear a support band to help hold her weight off my pelvis, and to wear it to bed as well.. I know it's just going to get more intense towards the end. I don't know if I can do another pregnancy after this one!
