Here you have to be a 4 with contractions for them to keep you. Let me tell you how annoying it is to be a 3.5 and contracting and they send you home.

I'm surprised they sent you home if you dilated 2cm in 30min...but obviously you weren't in active labor if you're still pregnant.
Sounds like it'll be soon, though.

How are you sure you are a 6?

they usually hook you up to a machine that tells them how strong the contractions are so shouldnt matter if you could handle it or not i could but they still kept me in, if i was you id go back.

They sent me home at three and no change in an hour with contractions 3-4 minutes apart.. Kept me at 4.5 cm by this point i didn't even realize I was in active labor, I had just gone to my weekly appointment and my OB told me my water was leaking as well

If you want to get things moving go take a long walk!! Walk the mall or something. It will probably suck but it should get things going for you!

I would think they would have kept you I dilated to 5 and they admitted me very quickly but they stop my contraction. I'm also high risk have a talk with your Dr. Let him know your concerns because at 5 cm you can have your baby pretty fast I know I did

It depends on the person and how far along you are. My friend recently went in and had just turned 37 weeks. She was 5cm, but her contacttions slowed down they sent her home since they wanted her to go closer to 38 weeks. She went back 2 days later 9 1/2 cm... If your water hasnt broken and your not contracting anymore looks like you may have to wait :(

I do know with my friend she was having horrible pressure below and that is why she went in again. she wasnt really contracting like she had before. Looks like you will have your LO soon enough
