Should I update my son's father? Patience Renee Due June 1; 2 kids; Fort Wayne, Indiana 44 posts18th Mar
So my son's father completely denies that its his child when I know for a fact that it is. Should I still send him updates about the pregnancy and the baby?

If he doesn't want any part of it, then I wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't bother because, sadly, he probably doesn't care.

I never did DS1's bio father when he was like that. I just went about my business and if his family asked about DS1, then I told them.

My son's biological father is the same way. I updated him via facebook after every appointment & he ignpred it. So eventually I stopped. No point in trying when he doesn't care IMO.

When I was pregnant my daughters father was into himself and not wanting to be around but I still felt like he should know about his child, so I would let him know how appts went etc. I felt like I should let him know because one day hell realize he screwed up and missed out on many things.. Even after she was born I still sent him pictures and tried to keep him involved, I ended up bringing him to court for custody and made him get visits with her, he turned around and now we are back together, your choice but I felt better with myself making sure he seen her growing up.

Yes. I absolutely would. He may be in shock or acting immature now but he may eventually come around and and be grateful that you were kind enough to keep him in the loop.

I wouldn't. When you take him to court for child support, he will get his DNA proof. From there, you can ask if he wants updates. If he still doesn't, don't bother.
