She has left her baby with her mom for the day at least 3 times that I know and constantly publicly complains about her parenting duties. I just don't get why people have kids if they only want to be a parent when it is convenient for them.

You seem awfully judgemental. Seriously. The baby is less than 2 weeks old, they are not going to notice as long as they are being taken care of and their needs are being met.

I could barely walk 1 week PP.

I would never do it, and I would probably look at someone crazy if they did it, but...I couldn't really care less what they decide to do.

I wouldn't do it, but if she had somebody to take care of her baby while she was drunk, I'm not going to judge.
But I would be thinking how dumb it is to complain about on FB. She's clearly trying to look 'cool' somehow. I can't stand crap like that, bragging about stuff you shouldn't want to showcase. Immature.

I wouldn't do it but to each their own. And its not like she just left the baby at home alone I'm sure.

I don't consider that a poor parenting choice as long as the baby was taken care of by someone. Not everyone has the magical obsession with their baby that mothers are pressured to have after birth. Deal with it.

I understand the whole, "I'm not pregnant anymore, I can drink!" aspect of it, but.. wait until LO's asleep and drink a couple glasses of wine. Don't go out and get hammered after only week. :?

There is nothing wrong with going out if your baby is being cared for. And I agree with her a hang over doesn't agree with taking care of a little one lol.

So I would be right by assuming that you've never complained about being a parent because you're so much better than that?
Bullshit.
Being a parent is hard and I see no problem in complaining once in a while or going out and having a good time to try and release some stress.

So, what is a justifiable time frame to go out and party after having a baby?

Why does it matter to you so much though? It is her life! Some people just complain a lot. I know I complain a lot about my kids right now. They drive me crazy and I don't have anyone to come save me. If I could, I would definitely be giving my kids to people to get a few breaks! (DH is deployed) It doesn't mean I only want to be a parent when it is convenient for me.
I personally think you should stay out of her business so much and worry about JUST your life, Maybe get a hobby or something?
