post-partum periods with birth control loving little luna 1 child; Stavanger, Norway 835 posts

I'm 3 months post partum and breastfeeding. I've been taking birth control for 5 weeks now.

I got my first PP period during the second week of BC and it was the same as my periods before baby.

according to a period calculator (based on the first day of my last period), my period should have started today and its a no show.

I've been having the same symptoms for the past week that I experienced the first week of my last pregnancy (5 weeks before finding out). but the first time I had sex PP was a week ago...I can't get pregnant a week before my period, can I?

my question is: even on birth control, can PP periods be unpredictable for a while before fully returning to normal? I'm extremely worried since I've always had regular periods, including my first PP one.

I got pregnant a week before my period. I wasn't on BC though and haven't been in a few years now, so I can't help you out there. I will be going on it after I go to my ob this week.

I'm gonna be one of the lucky few whose birth control fails D:

oh don't say that :(. When I was on birth control from 14 to 17 well my body messed with me each time I would switch even though I wasn't having sex during the time I was on it except once, and it messed with me like this and I thought I was pregnant. Thankfully considering I was 15 I wasn't lol. Now I am 19 and have my first little guy :) I will hope the best for you, it might just be your body getting used to being on it.

I was the same way. But found out its unpredictable when you get your period when your breast feeding. Plus your hormones and stuff are still getting use to the bc
