My 4 1/2 year old was diagnosed with the Flu last Monday. We started him on Tamiflu and the medicine is gone now, but he still has some lingering symptoms. I'm EBF my daughter... do you think it would help him get better faster if I gave him some breast milk? The thought just occurred to me, and I wish I would have thought of it sooner. I went ahead and gave him a cup, because I figure it can't hurt to try. But I'm curious if it will actually work for him, too, when he's sick!

That's a great idea... From what I understand the breast milk it designed specifically as antibodies.

Please try it and let me know.

I would think it would help - breast milk is EXTREMELY powerful for fighting illness!

He kinda looked at me like -- :? -- when I gave it to him.. haha. But he drank it and shrugged and goes "Hm. Yep. Tastes like milk." Lol.

if you were ever exposed to that strain or sick with it b4 then yes you have like a vaxine for it in your milk!
