I think so. When you need to clean or do something it keeps them entertained for a little bit.

2-3 for a playmat, especially nice for interaction during "tummy time" and 6 months or so for an exersaucer.

Play mat 3 months and jumperoo 6 months. Although she didn't enjoy the jumperoo until recently and she's almost 10 months.

Exersaucer was well worth the investment for my kid, but she couldn't use it till she was 3-4 months,s o you have time. the play mat however, you can just throw a blanket in the floor and some toys and you're good to go

We used the play mat from birth...they are great for tummy time. The exersaucer we started around 4 months. You want to be sure that your baby has really good head and neck controll before starting in the saucer.

EDIT: Just an FYI, you really should not use an exersaucer for more than 1/2 an hour a day.... :-)

LO has like 4 play mats that he always uses and he's 2 1/2 months. As for the exersaucer wait til she can hold her head up good. So around 4-6 months.

I did a play mat a saucer and he has a jumperoo BUT I got the play mat for like 35$ regular like 100$ (it has a mobile with lights and music) I got the jumperoo for 20$ used and the exersaucer for free :) DS is 6mo and he LOVES them all. I would never have gotten all three if I had not gotten a great deal on them. They keep DS entertained for hours so I can have mommy time or just clean up the house or relax myself and watch tv or a movie :)

DS started using his playmat at 2 months, his jumperoo at 3.5 months and still doesn't like his exersaucer lol.

I used the play mat with my girls from birth...
If they were awake and chilling I hung some colorful toys and laid them down.
