Yeah, I totally understand. For 2 years [I got pregnant feb '11], I have lived by the motto, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. lol.

How are you "stuck" with her dad forever?

He's her dad? That's kind of a lifetime deal.

Well, with her right? Not you? I'm asking because I hear this a lot and it makes me wonder if the way I'm thinking is wrong, lol. I always figured if DH and I split up and end in bad terms, where I want nothing to do with him. Then I'll have nothing to do with him. He can see his daughter when he wants and stuff but we don't have to interact or anything?

I did.
She's 4 and there are still days that I regret not getting the abortion but my regret was worse during the pregnancy which led to massive issues with PPD.

I regretted not thinking about my options fully when I had complication during pregnancy. I was terrified that there would be something very wrong with my baby. As soon as she was born that thought left me. When they told me she could die or have life long problems, I just kept thinking I don't care what kind of problems she has I just want her to come home with me. I know that might be selfish but that was my reaction. She is perfectly healthy now and I have had no regret.

And exactly how do you think that would work? I'm not going to use a middleman for custody exchanges or a game of telephone to get messages to him.

whether i like it or not i have to communicate with him on the regular about our kid.
