Quoting BRowell:" I'm not close to my dad at all, he wasn't even at the hospital when I gave birth to my second baby. However, ... [snip!] ... first grandson be born. It wasn't weird at all. I'd have him in there with us again in a heartbeat without a second thought."
Yup, that sounds exactly like my experience with having my dad in the room with me. He was a great support and kept telling me how proud he was of me for being so strong...even though I was crying like a little baby
I'm sure he will be in the room with any future babies I have as well.
