*Please bare with me, it's kinda long*

Okay a little back story... Back in November I started feeling and hearing this wheezing in my chest and I had a slight cough. I went to the doctor and she gave me cough syrup and told me to take some mucinex.

A week later I do not feel any better, and in fact the wheezing got worse. Now I had a fever along with it and was vomiting here and there.

I went to the doctor yet again, and she gave me nausea meds and vicodin w/ acetaminophen. Well, it helped get rid of the fever, but it kept coming back.

After a few days of taking that, I decided to go to Urgent care because I felt so terrible. There they did a chest x-ray, and found I had walking pneumonia. They gave me a breathing treatment, a shot in the butt, and sent me home with a z-pack and an inhaler. It helped and I felt better.. back to normal.

Fast forward to today.. a couple days ago I started getting congested. My head was pounding and I was feeling pretty bad. I started noticing wheezing in my chest yet again. I went to Urgent Care again and found out I have bronchitis. They gave me antibiotics and another albuterol inhaler.

I hardly ever got sick before this crap in November. I feel I am constantly sick all the damn time. I hate it. I feel like I need to be healthier or do and take things that might help build up my immune system. Do you ladies have any advice or suggestions on what I can do to help from getting this crap every couple months? Should I take more Vit C? Get the flu or pneumonia shot every year? Anything?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me.

This sounds like the same crap I went through when I was sick and back and fourth to Urgent Care places. I have had the pneumonia shots and I still got it, twice! But, you also have to consider that I have a low immune system anyways from my Crohns Disease.

Anyways, long story short, they finally said mine was asthma...guessing because I didnt have the fever that lasted each time I went in. But, my cough was horrible!! Like a smokers cough and congestion and I have never smoked.

I hope they figure yours out and you get to feeling better girl :D

Quoting Mrs. God of Thunder:" I don't smoke either.. never have. He mentioned something about me maybe having asthma... to check with my primary doctor."

Yeah, they kept throwing me around and back and fourth. I was sick and tired of the shit and then last hospital visit in December, I saw a pulmonary doc.

Quoting Mrs. God of Thunder:" I had a breathing treatment back in November.. and it helped a lot. "

Yeah, Urgent Care was giving me the breathing treatment but that was just while there to see the doc. It helped there...come home...and start back hacking.

Quoting Mrs. God of Thunder:" After I got the treatment, it made me throw up. Though, that could have been because I hadn't ate all day."

Maybe so, I think you need a second opinion... and figure out what is going on
