Any tips on how to lose belly fat? ~Jekka~ Due May 23; TTC since Oct 2012; 2 kids; Australia 8913 posts

I've put on heaps of weight in the past 5 years. I am trying to lose it all. I know you can't chose where the weight comes off first. But I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to lose the belly fat anyway. I went jean shopping, and realized I have a horrible figure. My belly is just huge and flabby. If I get jeans that fit my thighs and bum, they don't do up around my belly, and I have to leave them unbuttoned. If I get jeans that fit around my belly, they swim on my thighs and bum, and look like I pooped myself. If I get low rise that do up under my belly, I end up looking like I have a massive muffin top. I can't stand the feeling of high rise, so they wont work. Tips, advice anything?

Plenty of water, cardio, and eating healthy. Eating right is actually the best way to minimize belly fat, it's the hardest area to lose weight in.

Maybe I should try these high rise pants. I hate muffin top feeling, its so gross and my crack is always showing because I have the same problem, what fits my legs and butt area don't do up enough around the belly so I get the next size up and they fall down or are loose everywhere and soo long. Ergh!! I should just live in maternity pants haha

I've never heard of the 30 day squat challenge... what is it?

I was exercising every day for 45 minutes to a hour. But found that the more exercise I did, the more likely I was to snack. I know that weight loss is something like 70% diet and 30% exercise. So The past week I have just been changing my diet, and not worrying so much about my exercise (yet) so I've cut out fizzy drinks and juices, trying to only drink water and lots of it. I've been having my smoothie for breakfast, and healthy snacks for morning and afternoon tea. So hopefully I can lose the belly fat soon. I used to be so thin, I hate having all this extra fat now :(

I would advise you to make simple life changes. I was like you until I simply made some changes and it is surprising how effective it is. If I remember correctly, I downloaded the free report here , Look at my pic of how I am now, you will be shocked.
