Thuraya is the only thing I can imagine maybe picking out of those three.

I'm all for non-traditional names, but those (IMO) are trying to be too different.

I actually like Ibtisam. I think Thuraya has a nice flow but I just hate names with Y's.

We're Arab, so obviously we're choosing Arabic names.

Thanks for the input. My husband likes Thuraya the most as well.

I love the name Ibtisam, I would call her "Ibby" lol.

I find out on Friday if I'm having a boy or a girl. :)

Hubby is absolutely stuck on Yameen/Yamin (haven't decided on spelling yet) and won't consider anything else, lol, so that's what we're going with for a boy. :P

I like the sound of Thuraya, very flowery but I also like the way Ismahan looks, though I would put that on a boy.

I chose that one because I like the meaning.

I picked Thuraya. My fav girl Arabic names are Amirah and Faiza.

My only problem I have with the name Thuraya is that I found out there is a satellite phone company named Thuraya, lol. So I feel like it's the equivalent of naming my kid "Nokia" or "Verizon" or something like that, lol!

What do you guys think of the spelling "Thoraya" ??

Those are pretty names! But Amirah is so commonly used, it's unreal. And Faiza is considered outdated in my country.
