It's not because of a simple "difference of opinion". It's because I believe him to be of very low, moral character. It's hard to have respect for anyone who ignores the facts to suit a self serving agenda. Our president is as shady as the day is long.

You said yourself, that you voted for him "because he is a progressive". You simply ignored the facts of his past...or worse yet...don't care. You also don't see or care how your progressive vote is killing middle class America.

I've seen you bash Bush but make excuses for your "progressive" president, when O is far worse, far more negligent and far more self serving than his predecessor.

What is there to respect about that?

Obviously, racism is wrong no matter who is being racist.
There will always be racism on so e level and in all groups. It's an unfortunate quality of human beings, as a group.

That said, I think he was elected due to white guilt plus racial pride and racism on the part of black people plus a lot of people wanting free stuff. He was not voted in based on leadership, experience, track record or confidence that he can make things better for our country.

I am not an Obama apologist. I voted for him, yes, but I have never said that I would defend everything he has done; you must have me confused with someone else. So what "past" am I ignoring?

McCain would not have been a horrible choice as, from my experience living in Arizona, he is actually quite the moderate, but his choice in VP was questionable to say the least. Romney also had a questionable choice if VP when he chose Santorum-lite (aka Paul Ryan). So other than just not agreeing with them politically as much as I did with Obama, I couldn't stomach the possibility of Ryan or Palin potentially becoming president.

As for progressives destroying the middle class....http://www.forbes.com/sites/frederickallen/2012/07/12/how-mitt-romney-invested-millions-in-outsourcing/ I believe you are mistaken.

Also, you don't have to have any respect for Obama, but you shouldn't insult the people who vote for him just because you disagree with them. It's childish.

You really believe everyone voted for him strictly on his race?

No, but that plus "free stuff" is what carried him.

It's more than disagreeing. It would be "childish" to not care about the direction that the country is going in. You and everyone who voted for that criminal may have buried what little chance this country had at surviving this mess. It's costing me, personally, THOUSANDS of dollars to support this administrations poor, overspending policies...with no end in sight.

I know everything that progressive means and stands for, but I don't vote for a president based on abortion laws and entitlements. Europe is socialist and they are broke. You'd think people would learn...but nope. You are perfectly happy voting with your uterus. Ugh.

The people I talked to they voted for him cause of all the free food stamps and welfare and all that. I didnt vote for him at all cause what he has done to this country. In my OPINION he needs to be out of office!!! He has put this country over 16 trillion dollars in debt.

And China is socialist and are doing far better than us economically (not saying we should be the same as China). Sweden is also socialism-based and guess what?....far better off than us. As are Canada and Australia. It's pretty arrogant of you to assume it can never work anywhere just because you personally do not like it. Not saying that capitalism cannot work btw.

That's why it cost half a million dollars for a 2bd 2 bath house, that is all of 900 sq ft...in Canada. They get FAR less for their money, in those countries.

I've looked at all of the numbers and I'm not sure how anyone can look at the whole picture and still think that these countries are "better off".

Say you worked at a restaurant. You make excellent tips because you are an excellent server. You are making double what anyone else is making in tips. Thus far, your tips are your own. You get get to keep what you make. Then one day, the restaurant manager, due to employee complaints, holds a meeting and tells his entire wait staff that he wants to start pooling tips for the sake of "fairness". Well, Susie and Johnny make par tips. They do the bare minimum to make their customers happy. On average, Susie and Johnny make about 10%, while you, an excellent server, average 20%. After pooling tips you end up averaging 15% and so do Susie and Johnny. Is that fair? Why? Why do Susie and Johnny deserve your tips?

This is socialism, at it's core.

Why is there this big push for "equality" when it should be plainly understood that all things are not equal? Simple science supports this.

I dislike him as a president and I would if it was a person of any other race made the same decisions and same track record as him.

I live in the one of the 3 most expensive cities in Canada and I payed less than that for a 5 bdrm 2 bth house. I don't agree or disagree with the point your trying to make but it is a little unfair to skew or exaggerate the info you're using toile that point. Like everywhere else the price of a house varies greatly based on several factors and you've chosen to describe an obviously expensive area and possibly even a luxury home. Your example with the tips bears only slight commonality with socialism and much more descriptive of communism.
