In that case, anyone I guess 17 and under. And even after 18, if you're not mentally mature enough, it's still too young. So some people, at any age, should not be having kids. But under 18 for sure is too young.

I was 19 and unable to care for a child on my own. Luckily I had a lot of support from my family, but I was most definitely not on my own.

Lol I was pregnant 3 times by 19, and had my first child at 20. 20 was hard lol. I had no children experiences, never even held a baby prior to my own. And with as scared as I was at 20, I can only imagine how it is younger than that.

Quoting S+K=R [38 WEEKS!]:" Didn't you have your first at 18?"

Yes I did. But, I don't feel like that influences my opinion. Even at 18, personally, I feel I was too young. I also wish I hadn't had sex until I got married, but immaturity leads to dumb decisions and this is the results of decisions I made because I wasn't ready to have sex or have a kid. I stepped up and took responsibility for my actions, but I was not making good decisions which is what lead to my pregnancy with a deadbeat loser. And I actually conceived at 17.

I agree.

I think they're all too young (the ages you listed, I mean). Nobody's ever really ready to have a child, especially not a child. I'm 22 with my own house, I'm in a stable relationship of three years, got my own car, stable income, and I STILL feel like I'm not ready.

I would honestly like to know from all of you who said you were x age and could care for your child(ren) on your own...if by on your own you mean living by yourself, on no government assistance, providing everything your child deserves including health insurance, a college fund, AND a two parent household.

And if your answer yes (which I'm sure you all will, because after all this is BG: home of extraordinary teen parents), do you not acknowledge that the average 19 year old is not capable of all of the above?

Were you trying to get pregnant all of those times?
