And the 2nd part of my question? Do you not acknowledge that the average 19 year old parent cannot provide all that?

My first was born when I was almost 21, I was married and had been with my husband since I was 15 and he is a police officer making more than enough money. I still feel 21 was a little young and while it worked out for us, I can tell you that it does not work out as well for many many more. I don't live in some fairytale land like so many teen parents on here do. I am willing to say that it freaking sucks that I have never lived with just my husband and had time for just the two of us. Since we've been married and on our own we've been worrying about our children. We are greatly looking forward to our 40s,

Lol that's true dh and I were just talking about being done at 25 so we can get the kids out of the house.... I was thinking uhuh because the possibility of all the kids moving out at 18 is so realistic

But we lived on our own before we tried for dd..

But yes I understand its not as fortunate for every situation.

All of those ages are too young to be having sex at all IMO. To actually be having kids under 18 to me is insane. Im 21, married for 2 years, with two cars, a house, food in the fridge, and steady jobs all with no assistance and I am STILL terrified about how we are going to be able to support a child once he gets here. And my husband isnt military of anything so insurance and stuff isnt covered. Idk how these girls think its so easy.

I'm so thankful I don't have to worry about insurance.

Exactly what I was saying. I gotta pay out the ass to add my daughter to my insurance once she gets here, and I can barely afford the bills I have now. I don't think anyone's ever really ready to have a kid.

what do you mean does it matter? i don't care who works and who doesn't, as long as all those things are being afforded to the child.

and i think most of you are missing the point. i'm less interested in any one of your particular situations.you all will no doubt claim to have your shit together 100%/ but do you not realize that is not the norm? how about the fact that teenage brains are only 80% developed?

I think we see your point.. you've stated it numerous times now..
