Quoting Bogey Woman:" Yeah, they don't let you eat which sucks. I ate the onion rings for dinner the night before and went ... [snip!] ... I got a chance to eat breakfast the next morning, THEN I didn't even have him until 3:30 the NEXT morning lol I was NOT happy."

They wouldn't even give me water. They gave me some ice chips & even though I had an IV and was hydrated, I felt parched and completely dehydrated.

I was induced but was told to eat something light before coming in. I hate a half of piece of bread with peanut butter. I was so nervous it was all I could handle.

I know, me too. My mom kept asking, "Do you need chapstick? Do you need ice?"

After being able to keep the ice down they approved me to eat. I think now they let you eat. I am not going to take the chance of them not, though!

Quoting Destinite:" I think if the Thai place is open when I go into labor with my next, I am going to have to call in some ... [snip!] ... to have to call in some Beef Pad Thai with some peanut sauce. I am going in with a full tummy even if I do throw it up later."

It's sooooo good. I ate quite a bit during labour though, only threw up a bit at the end/right before delivery. The birthing center I was at strongly encouraged the women to eat and keep up their strength; they made complimentary smoothies for those giving birth and cooked them whatever meal they desired after the baby was out.

It's not that way in hospitals though, is it? Most of what I've heard made it seem like they just allowed water and popsicles, things like that... not proper sustenance. I could totally be wrong though.

Good to know! I have a couple bucks in my hospital bag for whenever I go into labor so that hubby can hit up the vending machines lol

Lmao I had Little Caesar's Pizza and a McDonald's sweet tea after my son...that's all I crave now, so I'm thinking that's what I am probably going to have after my daughter is born too lol

I know it was chicken alfredo before I had my first. I remember because after midnight I knew I wouldn't eat again until after I had the baby the next day since I was being induced, and I wanted to eat something filling. Idr about my other two.
