baby led weaning. You let the baby decide when and how much they can eat by allowing them to feed themselves. I waited until she could sit up on her own and pick up the food and feed herself and now she eats anything and everything (within reason). I started with pieces of banana and avocado.

3 months is way too young. Their little digestive systems aren't ready yet. :)

4 months for cereal, homemade and real oatmeal and not pablum cereals.
And 6 months for real foods, did BLW as well as just homemade stews and casseroles etc....she has never had purees or jarred baby foods ever.

When my oldest who is almost 11 yrs old was a baby she was eating pablum cereals at 2 weeks old via syring dropper, but under Dr's orders. She was eating 12 oz of formula every 2 hrs from the day she was born, so I had to give her pablum cereals to help curve her huge hunger. lol
