Question about daycares XDaniGirl 2 kids; Fayetteville, Arkansas 1407 posts

Ok. So this week is spring break. My daycare NORMALLY opens at 6:45 and closes at 6. This week though it opens at 7:30 and closes at 5:30. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but MIL has no money (thanks to my jackass of a FIL) and she can't come get him. But now I'm working and have to hall ass from the east to the west side of town in thirty minutes. And on top of that they are closed next friday because of Good friday.

My question. Does anyone else's daycare close or change hours due to things like this??

yes, but they offer assistance for extended hours and what not if you NEED it....have you asked them about this?

No... but they're closed on all major holidays.

No I haven't. It's not an absolute necessity that I need to drop LO off earlier than 7:30 but it's just a pain in the ass. I'm only going to this daycare because the daycare DS went to when every he was this age was closed because the director was having some family issues. I didn't realize that the daycare she works at now is a) cheaper and b) is MUCH closer to my house but now DH doesn't want to switch. I know totally off topic but yeah lol. I havn't asked about the extended hours because its not exactly needed. It's just a pain in the ass

I'm assuming my daycare is closed for those to. We haven't really been there long enough to know.

The whole good friday thing I don't understand. The daycare isn't really a Christian daycare. I mean, it's not in church and as far as I can tell they aren't like overly religious or anything. So it just kinda confuses me ya know?
