and they used glue instead of staples or stiches how long did it take for the glue to completely come off the skin? I was suppose to make a 2 week apointment long story short I didn't I have one scheduled for next week and have just been doing what she said after the surgery and just washing the area lightly but no soap or scrubbing I am a month and two days and I am just getting sick of looking at the stupid glue and it is starting to come off here and there.

Watching. I think I was supposed to have a two week appointment, as per what the hospital told me, but the follow up lady who called to set it up scheduled it for six weeks. I don't know about the glue, though, I can't really see my incision because when they took the staples out, she put those weird little bandaid things on it and they haven't fallen off.

I lost track of time and just forgot to schedule it lol when I called they seemed annoyed that I waited so long to make the appointment but I was feeling fine and if the glue wasn't bugging me I probably wouldn't have called to make an appointment for a little bit longer. I just want to wash it off but where it was glue I am a chicken that it might open something up if I wash or peal it off lol

I don't know about glue per se as I had staples that were replaced with the pieces of tape 24 hrs. after surgery. I do recall that not all of them had come off by my 6 week check up and the midwife told me not to force it and that they will come off eventually. Once I could see that my incision had pretty much fully healed on the outside, somewhere around 6 weeks, I took my first bath and gently peeled the remaining strips off. This may work for the glue as well. Once your scar is healed completely shut on the outside a nice warm bath could be used to help with removing the glue.

That's the hard part the glue looks like IV tape after a day where the sticky part becomes like a black color so I can't tell if it looks like it is closed up or not

eh, that would be annoying. I'd suggest just try to leave it alone and ask at your appt, that way you don't have to worry about unintentionally hurting your incision. Till then, try not to look at it too much. :D

It's only a week, you'll make it. :) Plus if she tells you to leave it alone you'll feel much better that you did. It's possible she may have something in the office that will help remove it too, as glue may be a bit trickier to get off the skin.
