Hey all as some of you might know I posted a long while back about bleeding and passing some tissue looking stuff. I went to the ER and the doc there told me my hgc levels where to low and that I was measuring 5 weeks and the baby had no heart beat. Well I followed up the next week with my ob because nothing more had passed and the bleeding had stopped. Another ultrasound was done and all you could see was the gestational sac but no baby. But it also showed a pretty large cyst on my right ovary. My hgc levels at this appointment had more than tripled. My doctor said to come back in two more weeks because my levels where going up and he was pretty sure I just called it to early to see anything and he wanted to get the reports from radiology at the hospital. I went back two weeks later and heard the greatest sound ever. A heartbeat of 144!!! And was measuring 7 weeks 3 days. When the doctor came in he explained to me that when the hospital did my ultrasound the measured the cyst on my right ovary as the gestational sac. That's why they thought I was already at 5 weeks when really I was only at about 3 weeks. He told me that the bleeding i was having was from implantation. This i guess is why i had no more bleeding or pain since then. They made a huge mistake. My doctor kept saying sorry for their error. We told him as long as our baby was ok that's all that mattered. So here we are I am 11 weeks along and feeling great! Sorry for such a long post. Has anyone else gone through something like this? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Wow that is crazy! Imagine what if they wanted to give you a d&c or something. That is amazing though, congrats! Im sure hearing the babies heartbeat was such a great feeling.

After crying non stop for 3 weeks it was the most amazing sound ever! My husband said the same thing I cannot imagine if they decided to do something like that. We live in a small town so I would have had to go to a bigger city to have it done so maybe they would have caught the hospital error. So scary to think about.

I wonder if it does also. Because of an ultrasound tech and a doctor that didn't know much about pregnancy things could have been worse and fast.
