Does he have any other issues besides ADHD?

Quoting Uh-Nis-Uh [EBF]:" Sometimes kids regress in potty training. It's totally normal, and usually short lived. If there have been any changes to his environment, schedule, extra stress, ect. that could do it. "

I know, I think it's because of the stress I've been having. But how many times can a kid regress? This is his 4th time with going #2. He has NEVER regressed from going pee since he's been trained. Just an occasional accident.

I think he'll get it again before September but still, I'd hate for him to be doing that in front of other kids. I don't want him to get made fun of or treated badly by other kids or his teachers.

I am going through the same thing with my 3yo. He's been potty trained for a year but this week he has shit himself everyday. He goes into a corner, squats and does his business then acts like it didn't happen. He was going to the toilet, wiping himself and washing his hands before now he's like a baby again. After, I ask him why he did not go and he just says "Ooh yeah I am supposed to tell you and go the the toilet huh". He cleans it up himself and he gets in the tub to wash himself. I tried putting a diaper on him thinking he wouldn't like it. He kept asking to take it off but still pooped in it!

Have you tried rewarding him? Once my son understood the concept, that was what worked for us. He'd want to go so he could get a sticker. He seemed capable of remembering that but now it's like he completely forgot.

Did the stickers and he begged me for one because he went pee in the toilet not the diaper so I have him one but 10 minutes later is when he pooped. I hope it's over as fast as it started.

He goes in the regular toilet. And he doesn't go into the corncr to poop. It just comes out wherever he is and I can't catch him because I'm not paying attention. I have a 9 month old that cries 24/7 so unfortunately I don't get much one on one time with my 4 year old. :(

He won't Hun. Our kids dont even notice stuff like that. Preschoolers are still in their own little egocentric world. The teachers might get annoyed haha. But what time is the class? Maybe try to get him in at a time he's not doin his regular bm?

Okay that makes me feel a lot better. I don't know yet, I applied for both AM and PM, we'll see which one he'll get.

Well see if you can put in a preference if you can. Then if you get it great. If not oh well just see what happens. But just know its not uncommon. And he may have to wear a pull up if its a problem. But they can't legally discriminate against him for that.

And I wonder why this issue seems to always be with boys?

Because girls are more advanced usually. They mature faster. IDK man, I have 2 sons. And I'm probably going to have 4 sons before I get my girl because that's what happened to MIL lol.

I asked because I'm not sure if ADHD might have something to do with not using the toilet. My son is only 4 so I don't know if he has it or not.

Yeah. All of the experts say that because he is so focused on other things that he doesn't pay attention to his body and/or that he thinks it is too boring to stop what he is doing and go to the bathroom. I don't know. He is extremely intelligent and doesn't have the typical problems in school that are usually associated with ADHD.....this is the biggest problem. It is embarrassing, aggravating , frustrating and disgusting. And that is just how it affects me....I can only imagine how it makes him feel. Anyway, hopefully your son's is just a short lived phase. ;)
