I went into labor after a NST/BPP. Not a single contraction. I came home, knowing that if my body was not ready nothing would work...but decided I'd try what I could. We walked the kids to the playground and romped around, came home and had sex, and then I did this thing called the Miles circuit. It was obviously my time...so whether it helped or was pure coincidence, whatever. It was fun.

Pretty sure I have been Lol. I was hospitalized Monday for what we thought was my water but wasn't. But I was having strong contractions and I had dilated from a cm to almost 3 and lost loads of mucus and such and the contractions picked up during the night but by the next day they settled down. Now they are not as close but hard when they do happen. Lord!!! is it possible to be in labour for weeks!?!?!?! >.<

Some series of positions a friend recommended. I think the website is milescircuit.com. I gave it a go just because eh no harm in it. I put a movie on the ipad and did it.

I think so yeah. Have you been under stress lately? That can stall your labor

Yea. For sure. I have lost mucus plug after mucus plug my husband says we should invest in them by now. Loads of contractions. Seems like a lot of people have been in the same boat as me and they found dancing helped. So Maybe my two year old and I will do some Party Rockin, Gangam Style and Jump around? lol

this says the first stages of labor is dilation... if you think your in early labor go for it! i mean it cant hurt, with my first i was in the same position and didnt want to be induced but it was scheduled if i didnt go on my own... for 2 weeks i ate pineapple, mangos, spicy food, had sex 3 times a day, stimulated my nipples, walked for a mile everyday... you name it. it wasnt until the night before i supposed to be induced i went into labor.

That pain in your cervix is definitely a good thing. I went walking every day in my last few weeks sometimes twice a day. I had lots of sharp pains in my cervix & at every appointment I was dilated more & more. I asked my OB about the pain & he said it was the baby's head pushing down, which was helping me dilate. Keep walking & having sex. It may not make you go into labor, but it will help labor go more smoothly.

I just spent an hour doing some violent dancing lol Some Gangnam horse dancing, some Pitbull exotic dancing, some shuffling...My vagina hurts now Lol. and I feel super gross...sweat wise. Gonna massage my leg in that area. If me yelling at my toddler doesn't get me there first..ugh I got fragile bones and she keeps putting all her weight on the, plus she keeps pulling the cats tail to get her attention.

I've been in labour for about a month. It's not fun at all. Due date is tomorrow. I have minor contractions all day sometimes they get worse and I have to stop what I'm doing. I constantly have pressure and feel like I have to poop. My twin 19 month old boys joyfully keep me active. I've had the raspberry tea and has calmed things down. At my midwife appointment on Wednesday, I was dilated 1 and a wiggle and my cervix is nice and thin, baby nice and low. For a week my belly has been in a constant stage of hardness, yet the baby still moves around. I almost don't notice the contractions unless everything hurts. I now get to try the evening primrose oil, here's hoping it helps. Give the primrose oil a try, it doesn't hurt you or the baby. Good Luck!
