my inlaws criticize everything i do. it got so bad they were blastning me on facebook and trying to get so to leave me. he stood up and blew up on them now they barely see dd bc we dont want to deal with the shit. it was always over what she was wearing/eating/how she slept where she slept/what i ate/breastfeeding is gross/ and it would go on and on. every little thing i did. it really ate away at my self confidence as a parent. i did the things on this list until one day i was explaining to my so's step mom why sophie didnt have a coat on. it was last fall so not freezing yet and she had a thermal shirt on that matched her corduroys overalls. so she was plenty toasty and hated being over dressed. she was like amber look your the mom and the parent. you dont have to explain why you do or dont do anything. i know she is wearing a thermal and her face is plenty warm and you came from a car garage. i know jakes mom and that side always criticize you but we dont its ok. i didnt realize how much i defended my choices everytime i did something to people. that made me stop and realize i was a good mom and i was in charge.

i have to remind myself this frequently, despite my parents, in-laws, pedi, wic, and even BG. that most of the time they don't know my child like i do, so i know what's right for her.

yeah it was just horrible. so's mom told so when dd was 3 weeks old that it was a wonder that i didnt kill dd yet bc i was so filthy. i didnt wash out a bottle that had fresh pumped milk in it bc 1. mil fed sophie so why couldnt she have done it 2. her water smells like blood bc of all the crap in it and we were going home in a few hours anyways and i could wash it with my water which didnt make everything stink. plus breastmilk takes along time to go bad. if it has never been refrigerated b4 and its fresh it can sit out a few hours unlike formula. i was like fine b***h pumping is a pain and i was trying to let them bond bc she wouldn't leave me alone about me pumping.

o wow! thanks. i had aimed for at least 6 months. wanted to go at least a yr but thought 6 months would be a great starting goal. i was devastated when i quit...and took me months to "come to terms" about it.

its ok it really is. you fed your child thats what matters. moms need to stop beating themselves up and gain confidence. we are around our children the most and we need to impart with them strength and self worth. if we dont show them that we are worth something then they will feel useless as parents. your kid doesnt care what they ate as babies or what brand they wore they care that mommy was there for them let the other things go and love yourself you deserve it!

why thank you! i just felt like i was letting us both down. i later learned that things were stacked against me. i was badly misinformed so screwed up from the get go. the fact that DD is almost 10 months and thriving, happy, and still alive has given me a lot of confidence.

yay good! i hate formula and would have been devasted too. but formula grows babies and makes them healthy if they cant have breastmilk. you are doing just fine!

i guess that i CHOSE to quit is why i had such an issue. that and we've struggled trying to get her to gain more. now i've just accepted that she's just small
