I`ve been potty training my 3 yr old for what feels like months. She will go pee on the potty when we tell her too, roughly every 30-ish minutes and she will go. Plus she super happy when she does pee. But she still hasn`t grasped the feeling of I have to pee before she goes. She wont tell us at all. She`ll probably tell us afterwards cause she`s wet but never before.

I use pull-ups cause I have carpet and I can`t devote all my time with her either cause of my other baby. Will she ever get it?

She isn't ready. Back off and try again in a few months

And pullups are just diapers. I know you have carpet but I would seriously get rid of them. Use diapers or panties.

Throw away the pull-ups. They are glorified diapers. Put on underwear & pants. She will feel she's cold & wet instead of nice & warm inside a diaper. Explain to her that babies wear diapers & she's getting to be a big girl now.

she already knows that. And I know I could do away with the pull-ups but I can`t be following her around all day making sure she gets on the potty and not peeing on the carpet. Plus when she goes to day-care they want her to either be fully trained with no accidents or in pull-ups so that there arnt any.

If she is really actually ready, it shouldn't take more than a few days in underwear for her to get it. If she is just not ready then it'll take longer.

that;s what I find confusing. If she wasn`t ready she wouldnt actually go on the potty be proud when she does? She goes when we ask her.

When my son potty trained, he got annoyed when we asked him all the time. He went on his own after the first two days.

Accidents WILL happen. She wll pee on your carpet and her her bed and probably in the carseat

It CANNOT be avoided.

have you tried letting her be naked? If she pees on herself, she might not like the feeling. That has helped many kids learn to use the toilet

And she is feeling proud cause YOU are heaping praise on her

and every 30 minutes is a bit extreme. Cora always got annoyed when I would try to make her use the bathroom. I stopped asking, and she started going on her own

You don't follow her around all day. Stay in the same room with both kids all day. Bring them in the kitchen when you cook, otherwise just stay in the living room. The first day there will be many accidents. The second day less. The third day if she is really ready there will be maybe one or two it's usually dribbles cause they are learning the muscles. When & if you have to leave the house bring extra clothes. Put a plastic bag on the carseat under her butt. Remind her she isn't wearing a diaper & needs to hold it.
I'd re-evaluate the daycare if she cannot have any accidents. All kids may have one at some point. What would happen if she got diarrhea & had an accident? Besides obviously sending her home. Would they leave her in the soiled clothes until you got there.

she doesn't seem to mind us asking. And she's a weird one. She doesn't like to be naked.

My LO doesn't like to be naked either. When we started with underwear we told him that his big boy undies need to stay dry and clean. If he wet them we said "Uh oh, your undies got wet!" I suggest reading the 3 day potty training book. We didn't follow it to a T (like the author suggests) but it does give a lot of really good tips.

I have a two month old and am working on potty training my 2 1/2 yr old. So I get what you're saying. The extra cleaning sucks, but it's going to happen. I took her to the store and let her pick out her panties. She choose boy undies lol. But I explained she shouldn't peepee on Spongebob/Cars. Yesterday morning, there were a few accidents, but by the end of the evening, she was going without being asked. Some times there were dribbles, some times not. I did pull her in a pull up at bedtime since yesterday was the first day we really really tried. I had attempted before, and she wasn't ready. She would go if I caught her at the right time, but didn't ever tell me.
Good luck
