Easter basket question Mama Rice 34 kids; North Las Vegas, Nevada 11980 posts

So for Easter instead of a basket I bought my kids and my nephew each a shovel and pail set. I am still filling it with goodies and easter grass. But every year I buy them a basket it ends up getting thrown away because we have no use for it after or the kids break it. The shovel and pail set I know they can use again. It is getting nice out and they love to go to the park. My DS usually ends up in the sand and my DD and nephew do for a bit.

I was told using the pail as the basket is stupid and I should get them a basket and put the pail in there too. Should I still get them a basket or stick with what I have planned?

Stick with what you have planned.

I loathe Easter baskets.

I hardly ever use and Easter basket. lol

Your idea is really cute and it works so go for it :)

I am not doing baskets this yr at all either, my kids are getting a rubbermaid tub with a lid full of different art crap from the dollar store filled with chalk and markers bubbles etc.....grass at the bottom and a few little candies in there just cause its easter (they still have their full chocolate bunnies untouched from last yr) they dont really eat that stuff. lol Last yr my girls go a purse filled with easter stuff. :)
