My bestfriend's little sister just turned 18 last month. Today my best friend texts me that her sister told her she wants to have sexual relations. Now my friend is all nervous and sht. I told her she's going to have sex regardless so the best thing to do would be to talk to her about birth control, condoms, and STDs. My friend has basically raised her siblings since their mom passed away when they were very young and a few years after that their dad went to jail for 5 years. My BFF tells me it would be really expensive to get her sister on BC because she has no health insurance..she no longer gets Medicaid because she turned 18. What other options are there for her to get birth control?

Planned parenthood would be cheapest. And they give free condoms.

My local health department gives free BC based on income, and free condoms.

Planned parenthood and your local health department they will be cheap since they base it off how much she makes. Tell your friend she is lucky she waited till she was 18 most teens dont.

Some medicaid lets them stay on til 19, and some til 21 or 26 if they are in school.
Cheapest place to go though if she doesn't qualify for those would be planned parenthood

Generic birth control is $10 a month.

Otherwise, when I was younger I went to the health department for birth control. It was free for me until I was 21. I think they were partnered with Planned Parenthood. I'm sure the cost and availability varies by state though.

That's exactly what I said. I remember in middle school girls had already started having sex at 11 and 12
