I'm not sure, maybe different for every family.
Japanese, Thai... I don't really eat takeaway at the moment, I let my kids have it every so often, they get Thai or Japanese or McDonald's.
It's expensive for me.

Can we discuss tipping?
It's not really customary here.
Aussies what do you tip and when?
Others what do you do!?

Like I said we don't really tip here.
I tip 10% for a taxi or round up
10% if I eat at a restaurant
10% or more for home delivery

I tip 15 to 20% on food and hair.

It's not customary to tip cab drivers in our little city.

You really don't have to tip here at all.
I would never ever tip on hair.
To get my hair cut and coloured here it would cost around $250+
For real.

I don't know if other Aussies tip can drivers. You also pay $100 if someone vomits in the cab.

How much do you guys get paid for waiting at a restaurant? I don't tip hair, and the delivery people here already get paid, so I just throw in a few bucks. I always tip 20% at restaurants, unless they suck then it's 10-15 depending on how badly they sucked.

It's kind of sad that they even have to charge for that.
