I wish I knew about ERFing when my 4.5 yr old dd was younger I would have done it with her as well, she is in a seat still but wont turn around she has a fear of being backwards while moving I tried to switch her and she was scared she kept throwing up everywhere from nerves of being backwards while moving forwards.

That's how it is here too. I was afraid at the dr that they'd think I was being neglectful for not having her bundled to the nines. I just dress her normal and snug a blanket over her after she's strapped in. Te car is hot she's always sweaty when I get her out. Even if she's in just a onesire and pants. So why would I add 00 more layers?!?! Dd1 always takes her coat off when she gets in the car too. Plus we have a carrier cover on there too. So she has plenty of protection. If I thought she was gonna get cold I wouldn't do it. I see infant snow suits fr sale all the time and I makes me sick because people here are sooooo uneducated on car seat safety. I'm waiting for the car seat tech to do a home visit next week so I can see how educated she is on it all. Haha.

I got pissy at a literacy fair te other day cause they had out flyers with the new 2&20 recommendations. But the ffing flyer said children between 2&4 should be in a ffing harnessing booster seat. I was like that's misleading saying they HAVE to turn them ffing at 2. I was annoyed.

I have given up on telling other people. If they ask, I gladly tell them why we do it. Otherwise it's not worth the headache to me. I truly believe everyone should ErF but what can you do. Although if it was one of my sisters they would get a huge ear full and I'd be installing their carseat backwards for them lol

I lucked out and found out about the time dd1 turned 1. I was that parent that was like "oh yay I can turn her when she turned 1". Then by chance I came across erfing and watched the video and SO was all confused cause then all of a sudden I was like "she's rfing forever!" Haha

Yeah I'm more willing to go above and beyond preachy with my family than I am with friends or acquaintances. I randomly adjust their car seats for them haha and take off after market products :P

Lol My favorite thing I hear is "but all of the other 1 year olds are forward facing!" As if ds knows about peer pressure and rides in cars with billions of other one year olds... Lol. He just turned 1 so I'm sure I'll hear it soon...
