When my husbands grandmother died we simply told my almost 4 year old that she went to go live with God and she was no longer here with us anymore. He asked why for a couple days but he eventually stopped.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. Tell your three year old that Allah believed it best for her uncle to join him in heaven.

I'm so sorry. You did what you could Hun :( don't blame yourself or dwl on the shoulda woulda coulda. You tried and I'm sure he was grateful for that. We simply tell my dd (we've dealt with a lot of death) that it was their time to go to heaven. Just tell her in terms she will understand and answer her questions the best u can. Don't try to comicate it. Just tell her he was sick and his body couldn't fight anymore. And then follow her lead as to what questions or comments she makes.
