I have had miscarriages in the past (I have PCOS and that's one of the issues I have from it). Based on my past experiences, I think I had a miscarriage but it came at a time that makes me wonder if it's just a coincidence.

For a little over a week I was having pregnancy symptoms. Instead of getting a test immediately, I shrugged it off. Another part of PCOS is false pregnancy symptons and I've had more false alerts than I care to mention. I was about to have a yearly check up and I know they do tests at the beginning of your visit so I just waited. A couple of days before my appointment, I was in a lot of physical pain. I was cramping terribly. Since I wasn't sure I was pregnant, I thought maybe I was about to start (I have terrible cramps during my periods). Well the day of my appointment I was suppose to be on my period but I wasn't. Neither me nor my dr were worried since it's normal for me to have issues with my cycle. He did a papsmear and I went home.

Later that afternoon I started having bad cramps again. I went to the bathroom and I had bloodclots. I have been bleeding ever sense with several bloodclots.

That's pretty much the gist of it, I was wondering what everyone thought. I don't normally have bloodclots and my cramps feel worse than normal (comparative to labor pains).

It's hard to say whether it was a m/c or not. If it was, it was probably too early to have a lot of pain from it, so it was probably your period, IMO. I had two early losses (6 weeks) and they didn't hurt. Everyone is different, though.

When was your last period before? Maybe the clots are from the lining in your uterus getting thick.

Beginning of January. I've gone 4 months without a period and not had clots without it being after a positive pregnancy test.

This! I have pcos and when I go without a period for a long time it takes a toll on my uterus! It is painful and I have clots from it. That being said it could be either. Take a test....there is a chance if it is a m/c you could still get a bfp if the hormones haven't stopped a lot yet.
