I'm getting induced on Friday, I will be about 40 weeks and 6 days. My stepmom said when she got induced it sucked so I don't really know how to feel about it yet until it happens. How was it for you guys? What was your intake on it??
Mine wasn't bad. Then again I don't have anything to compare it to
I wasn't induced. I went into labor on my own, but my labor wasn't "progressing fast enough", so it was augmented with Pitocin. It was hell after that point. The natural contractions were so much easier to handle. Hope you don't need Pit!
It was fast and it hurt...I don't have anything else to compare it to either.
It qasnt anywhere near as bad as ive heard. But i think everyone has different experiqnces with it. Good luck
Quoting Squeaky McGee [21 wks]:" I wasn't induced. I went into labor on my own, but my labor wasn't "progressing fast enough", so it was ... [snip!] ... with Pitocin. It was hell after that point. The natural contractions were so much easier to handle. Hope you don't need Pit!"
:!: same thing happened with both of my labors, both ended with emergency c-sections.
ive been induced twice... with epis
and went into labor naturally with no meds...
All 3 times sucked lol
1 wasnt better then the other, they were all diff it just depends on u and ur body...
my mom had 2 babies 1 was csec and 4 still borns.... when she had me, she was in labor a few hours and popped me out no screaming crying she said it was painful but ok...
none of my labors where close to that, i was pushing babys out asking godd to help me screaming at nurses for drugs crying and praying it would just be over with....
It wasnt bad, in my opinion. then again i've only been induced so i dont have anything else to compare it to lol, good luck!
Mine was quick and fairly easy. i am pretty sure the pit made my contractions stronger than they would have been without it but was no where near some of the horror stories you hear. I went in at 7pm mon night and had her 10:40am tues morning. Good luck hope it goes smooth for you.
loooooong. I had cervidil for 3 days and finally got pitocin. took forever and the contractions once they started were super painful and immediately 2 mins apart. like it took forever and then BAM hit me..oh the pain.
My induction was great! It lasted 4 1/2 hours from start to finish. The contractions did suck, but they weren't unbearable.
My mom told me the same thing...that she hated her induction with my brother...
But mine wasn't bad at all. I was induced at 40weeks 5days, and the contractions sucked, but you'll have those anyway lol Labor was 9 1/2 hours for me, but I ended up having a c-section because his head was too big for m hips
DD is my only baby so I really have nothing to compare it to lol. But I was induced 1 day after my due date... and it was still a great experience. It was painful of course, but then again having a baby isn't intended to be painless lol. So, If you get an epi, just remember you're not any less of a mom or a woman. Some ppl just can't handle pain well. I got 1 and I'm not ashamed to say I was a puss lol. Either way, having a baby is a true miracle, no matter how they are brought into this world ♥ Congrats btw :)
I was induced. They did the cervidil twice and I was contracting fine. They started the pit and it wasnt fun, but not horrible honestly. Got my epidural, then they really cranked the pit. I ended up with an emergency section cause he wasnt dropping, and his heart rate was dropping with each contraction. Good thing I was induced cause I would have laboured for as long as possible at home before going in, and we both could have died. His cord was wrapped around his thigh. Induction doesnt totally suck in my opinion.
