We're not there with Heathen yet, but I know our district does full day. For the first week, they do half day as a transition, and then they do full day.

Kelly- I would try to get her into something school related in the summer with school like structure.

It will be a rough couple of weeks for her either way, but it might be a bit easier if she has something "part time" in the summer before the full day starts.

I am going to try either YMCA camp, or the Zoo camp. Each is full day but only a week long.

The cost is just just killing me

We are in a similar situation but my son went to preschool for 1 year 2 hours a day, 2 days a week, he has been home since november.
What both the psychiatrist and his therapists have told me is that it will be hard... it will test us and the teacher for a while but then they adjust! It may take longer than other kids but they will get there too
I am dreading it... big time...

My three oldest kids went to all day kindergarten without any preschool or daycare. They all did great, non problems at all. The next one to go to school will be 4 when he starts kindergarten as his birthday is August 31st.
