Positive Fetal fibronectin at 26 weeks Mamitita 4 kids; Louisiana 720 posts

For those who have followed my last posts about the blood streaked discharge with and cramps I have been having since Friday no sex in two weeks, no foul odor so I went to the assesment center where she (doctor in the same practice with mine) basically just looked up there and said it was a vaginal infection, no swabs, no tests nothin sent me home with antibiotics. The next day the discharge had turned more bloody and had clots in it. Well that kept up for most of the weekend so I called my doctor when he got into his office and went in. He took a swab for fetal fibronectin and sent it off and called later in the day and told me it was positive. Im trying to take it easy upped my water in take, not doing much, but when you have 3 kids under 6yrs its very difficult. Anyone else have a positive this early?

I understand that's its hard to have three kids under 6, but its not going to be any easier having a child in the nicu. So lay on the couch, have SO make you some snacks for the day. Have the kids chill in the living room with you, and only get up to pee and make them breakfast and lunch. Make your SO do the dinner.

You right, Im just freakin out a little. I havent had issues like this before and usually have a smooth pregnancy. A little spotting here and there with each but not bleeding for 6 day straight. I just keep wondering if its because I got pregnant too soon or what I did wrong this time. My mind races 100 miles a minute. They want me to take Motrin around the clock for 12 days straight its supppose to help? I thought it was bad during pregnancy? They told my friend the same thing and her waters broke within 6 hours of the first dose. Freaking out here.. Freaking!

Here I hope this clears up some of your concerns about Motrin.

I know preg complications suck :( just think if you had PROM but no labor they'd hospitalize you. That's not going to be any easier with 3 kids either. So the best thing is bed resting. Any scenario that could occur from not taking it easy is worse than doing bed rest right now. I know it's hard. When I was on bed rest I still had to take my 5yo to and from school, grocery shop, make dinner when SO was at school, etc. life still had to go on but you better believe I slowed my ass down and did absolutely nothing when at all possible.
