My 4 and 5 year olds know their full names. My 5 year old knows the town we live in but doesn't know her full address. I'm not sure if my 4 year old knows the town or not. My 9 month old only knows her first name lol.

eta: my 5 year old also knows our phone number.

I started it when he was around 18 months.

ETA: DS's speech was very advanced then, he learned his and our names and full names of close relatives because he would ask me. I tried to teach him our full address but he didn't get the numbers until he was around 3.

My four year old knows his first and last name and me and his dad's first and last names. Although if you ask him he'll say Mommy G---- and Daddy G---- first, lol.

He doesn't know his address or my phone number yet. We're working on the phone number thing now.

DD knows her full name, my full name, and my fiance's full name.

She calls our street by the wrong name (close, just the wrong starting letter), and gets our number wrong (but she gets her birthday number wrong, too. She always says her birthday is April 29th when it's April 8th. haha).

My almost 4 year old knows the country, province and town we live in. His full name, His brothers full name, My full name & SO's full name.. He doesn't know our phone number but he knows 911. I was told that at a young age they shouldn't know their address or phone number cause they could pass it out willy nilly. When they understand not to tell just anybody then they should know it. If he ever got lost or whatever, he can call 911 or go to on police officer. With the information he has they will find us no issues.

I will be teaching Alexandra as early as possible incase she gets lost, etc. She knows her name is Alexandra and when she's being cheeky I use her last name. On another note she knows our dogs name because we are forever telling him off, she now walks around the house saying uh-uh deedle(diesel).

My3 year old:

His full name
My name
DH's name
That Daddy is a Marine
Our address
My phone number

I'm 100% confident that I'd he were lost and a policeman or security guy found him, they could get me fairly quickly---our name is really rare and there are only 4 guys in the military with our last name. DH and his 3 brothers

I can't figure out how to get my daughter to admit her last name, lol. I have a different last name from my husband and her, and she says that it's Baba's last name. When I persist and say no, you're full name is _____ _____. I will say ___ is your first name and ____ is your last name, she will start crying lol. I haven't taught her our phone number yet. She's 3 1/2.

She knows her own, my, and my mom's full legal name, and our addresses. She doesn't know phone numbers but I'm working on having her memorize my mom's ( it's an easier sequence than mine)

She's known names and my mom's address since she was 4. She just learned ours because we only moved in a few weeks ago.

But my middle dd will be 5 in July, she knows her full name my full name and her dads (were not together) she knows both my parents full names their cell phone numbers (they both have their own) we all live together so she knows the address to the house, city and postal code. She knows the house phone number, my cell number her dads cell number, she knows her 3 friends on the streets phone numbers as well. She knows her (dads mom) phone number plus cell number, she knows her full name and the address where she lives. She knows my brothers phone number and both her cousins cell numbers (she texts the every day from her ipod) lol and she knows her dads address.
Oh she also knows her schools address and phone number. lol

Her memory skills are well over the average 4 yr olds lol she has knows these all for a 1.5 years or so. Except the schools (she just started last sept) but before that it was the daycares.

By the age of 3, Cora knew her full address, full name, my full name, my moms full name, and my phone number

I started "teaching" it to her around 16-18 months.

All kids should know this info as soon as possible

And was it my thread you were talking about?
