OK after i give birth i want to lose weight. Well i will work out a hour a day, but i looked on websites and it said for my weight i need atleast 1500 calories a day. Some ladies are saying they eat like 1200 calories. Is that possible i eat 3 meals a day, and there not big. I really am confused how your not starving. I mean will i lose weight with 1500 calories a day ? Most of the time i can go between 1200-1500 calories a day but i eat 2/3rd s veggies and the rest carbs on my plate.Am i wrong? Will i mess up my diet after pregnancy eating 1500 and exercising a hour a day im 5'0 tall. I need advice please be respectful.

I have a hard time getting in more than 1000 calories a day usually =\ I eat things that are filling but not high in calories. Fruits, vegies etc. We don't hardly EVER eat junk food, and we don't keep it in the house. No soda. Water or tea. You want complex carbs, not simple, or lots of sugars, and saturated fats.

It depends on what size you are. Use MyFitnessPal it will tell you everything you need to know about how many calories you can have and you get more for exercise.

I think you would mess yourself up more eating 1200 a day to diet and then going back to 1500 later on; You'd just gain it all back. 1500 sounds fine, especially if you are working out. If you are going to breastfeed you will lose weight even faster, but you might also need to eat more.

The secret to losing weight is to burn more calories than you take in. First, I would start tracking how many calories you are taking in normally, and start cutting that down. At 4'11 it is extremely hard for me to lose weight... I have to eat like 1,000 calories a day, but I'm not super active. Also, are you planning on BFing? Because hardcore diets and carb restriction can affect your milk supply. But a bonus is that you'll burn 300-600 calories without even trying. :)

Complex carbs are slower to digest and don't cause rapid spikes in blood sugar. Here is a general list.
