So good to know I'm not alone. My EDD was yesterday, and I'm going crazy lol. My first was early so I was certain this baby would too. Nope. She is going to take after her Daddy apparently. He is always late for everything lol. I'm not doing the whole membrane sweep thing, but I go get checked out today, so hopefully I will have made some good progress. Good luck, and I hope we have babies soon!!! Like today soon

Alot of doctors will actually induce at 40-41 weeks depending on progress and what not. My doctor won't let anyone go past 42 weeks because of the risks for having a still born and other complications that can arise from cooking a baby too long. That would be horrible to go past and then find out you were 2 or 3 weeks actually ahead and be delivering at like 45 weeks pregnant IMO :? But also vise versa and actually be 35-36 weeks. Oh how I wish EDD were 100%!

I'm 9 days overdue and have had my membranes stripped four times now. Ugh.

YOU CAN SAY NO TO BEING INDUCED!!! It is YOUR body and YOUR decision. If you want to wait, then wait. They can't force you or refuse care for wanting to wait.

My dr. told me she wont even discuss induction until 41+ weeks and I had a mw with my last 2.. which they dont induce. lol. So its just an odd concept for me. But to each their own.

 You must be seriously going crazy! I'm only 1 day over and I feel like I cant handle being pregnant for another day, or I will murder someone lol. I'm so sick of hearing "You havent had that baby yet?!?" or "Why arent you at the hospital?".

I've never had a midwife. I haven't heard of ANYONE around here having a midwife or home birth or even water birth. In fact I don't think there is a birthing center close..Maybe in Baltimore. My town SUCKS ass. They should have more opportunities for the Woman around here!:x
I've notice things vary from state to state, hospital to hospital and even Doctor to Doctor. As long as it's all in the same fraction of time I think they can develop their own practices and what not,as long as their not bringing a bunch of premie's into the world for non-medical reasoning I think it's all good :)

But you're 2 days overdue......... :/ 9 days, yeah, I'd be frustrated. I went 11 days over with DD1. I love her to death and did from day one but during those sleepless nights as I CRIED I missed being pregnant.

Well because for one I will be 40 weeks and 5 days the date of my induction and for two I have really bad back sciatica problems :(

Plus like someone said your edd is never correct it can be plus or minus 2 weeks either way! I'd rather have him a little early than way too late and risk problems with labor and him.. :( I just want to be done I'm so worried that something is gonna go wrong! I want to be induced but then again I don't for the fact that I don't want to have a cesarean (regular or emergency!)

My doctor induces at 40-41 weeks routinely too. They like to be cautious. I'm sure I could probably refuse if I end up going over though.

I hope your water breaks in your sleep or something soon!
