It is hardwired into the human brain to constantly make judgments about the people and things around us. It is how we've survived this long.

Care or don't care about what your friends and neighbors think, it's your own energy you're spending.

The only thing that matters is how you vote and what you do to take your beliefs and push them into the outside world to cause change. It matters how you raise your children, and how you treat the people around you. It doesn't matter what you think, it matters what you do. Anybody who says they don't judge is lying, and anybody who shuts out people with different beliefs is losing out on a valuable part of the human experience.

I DON'T vote, so how can the way I vote be the only thing that matters? I don't have to "push" my beliefs into the outside world to cause change. I can LIVE my beliefs and people can see the change I can make.

I judge people a lot. It is a personality weakness. Ignorance is something I do not tolerate very well, so when I come across someone who doesn't agree with gay marriage, I admit I roll my eyes and basically write them off as a dumbass. It's not just gay marriage though, I do that with a lot of issues. I'm working on it though and try my hardest to give everyone a chance.

Why the hostility? Or am I just imagining that?

I am not sure what point you're trying to make in your last sentence there. You're not gay married, but if you don't vote or take any active political positions then how are you changing anything? I mean, it sounds to me like you have an opinion but you're passive about it and not trying to get in anyone's way, which is great. Don't get me wrong, we have opposite beliefs so I'm glad that I vote and you don't. I just don't get what you're saying there.

LOL..they are good people. Their issue is they don't want it taught in schools, to their children. That its not right. I told them the guys they banged before marriage wasn't right either LOL..Now if they were to tell me my son is going to burn in hell blah blah and get nasty that's a whole different story!

That's how I see it
