How old was your LO when you started teaching them to ride a bike?
Just wanting ideas of when to start Mason, not too soon, nor too late.

My daughter is 3 and we just bought her `a big girl bike. She is scared to death of it and refused to go near it.

My 1 year old just started walking. There's no way I'm putting her on a bike.

That doesn't mean without training wheels though. That takes a LOT of balance and coordination.

They make bikes where they basically just sit and you push them. Then they convert down to a trike.

They both got tricycles at around 18 months..by their 2nd birthday they could pedal around pretty good..but didn't steer very well. My youngest still doesn't steer well he just turned two on the 7th..I don't remember when my oldest could steer by himself. It was before his 3rd bday though.

Oh no I cant imagine a 3 year old without training wheels. Steering is hard as f**k for them plus having to steer and pedal. I think no.

Most toddlers don't even have the fine motor skills to properly move a tricycle very well; much less maintain balance on a bicycle.

ETA: Pedal was a poor choice of word.
